The countdown is on to the launch of Star Wars: Andor season 2 with a new poster and featurette. 

In the “Special Look” video, writer/creator Tony Gilroy sets out the stall for the season, explaining that it will show how spontaneous rebellions against the Empire come together…

It features contributions from Genevieve O’Reilly, Diego Luna and Adria Arjona, and confirms that it charts the four years prior to Rogue One.

Also out is the main cast list. The series stars Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Elizabeth Dulau, Alan Tudyk, with Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker.

This means there’s a good chance that Varada Sethu will be appearing in both Doctor Who and Star Wars at the same time. She’s the 15th Doctor’s new companion Belinda Chandra and plays the rebel Cinta Kaz.

Star Wars: Andor Season 2 begins at Disney+ on April 22nd, 2025, (or April 23rd in the UK) with episodes dropping weekly.
