Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker gets Sky Cinema release date

The Rise of Skywalker will be available in the UK on Sky Cinema and On-Demand from 4th May…

Sky Cinema has teamed up with Disney and Lucasfilm to release Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on Sky Cinema this Star Wars Day aka May the 4th (be with you)! The surprise news was confirmed by Sky today, as The Rise of Skywalker gets set to join Spider-Man: Far From Home, Rocketman, The Lion King, Yesterday and Toy Story 4 on the service from next week. You can bet it can be there, perhaps at gclub!

The closing instalment of the trilogy was directed by J.J. Abrams and produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams and Michelle Rejwan. The screenplay was written by Chris Terrio & Abrams and the story is by Derek Connolly & Colin Trevorrow and J.J. Abrams & Chris Terrio. The film received mixed reviews upon its cinematic release, but some fans were happy with the conclusion of the saga.

The late Carrie Fisher appears in The Rise of Skywalker alongside Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Domhnall Gleeson, Richard E. Grant, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, with Ian McDiarmid and Billy Dee Williams, who returns as Lando Calrissian.
