Ahead of its premiere later this month, Apple TV+ have revealed the trailer for its upcoming contemporary thriller Liaison.
The show is described as a high-stakes, contemporary thriller. It explores how the mistakes of our past have the potential to destroy our future, combining action with an unpredictable, multilayered plot where espionage and political intrigue play out against a story of passionate and enduring love.
The trailer shows numerous intense threats to London, including the deactivation of the Thames Barrier, blackouts and seizing control of the capital’s travel networks.
Brought back together, Cassell and Green’s characters must also deal with their own complicated personal history too.
The wider cast includes Peter Mullan (The Rings of Power), Gérard Lanvin, Daniel Francis (Small Axe), Stanislas Merhar, Iréne Jacob, Laëtitia Eido, Eriq Ebouaney, Bukky Bakra and Thierry Frémont.
Liaison comes from writer Virginie Brac and director Stephen Hopkins (24, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers). Ringside Studios and Leonis Productions co-produce; Hopkins, Vincent Cassel, Gub Neal, Jean-Benoît Gillig, Sarada McDermott, Justin Thomson, and Edward Barlow are executive producers.
It begins on Apple TV+ on Friday, February 24th 2023, dropping episodes weekly until March 31st.
