Channel 4 has confirmed that the second season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air in the UK this later this year.
The new 22-part season will begin on Channel 4 this autumn.
Agent Coulson is back and ready to rebuild S.H.I.E.L.D. However, he is forced to branch out to find resources and allies as the agents face up to the reality of being the underdogs. The agents will be pushed out of their comfort zone – with the introduction of a series of new characters proving a fresh challenge for S.H.I.E.L.D. With the appearance of more Hydra members – including The Kraken – who among these unfamiliar faces can the agents trust?
New cast members in Season 2 include Kyle MacLachlan, alongside Lucy Lawless as S.H.I.E.L.D. veteran, Isabelle Hartley, and British actor Nick Blood as the director of British intelligence agency, S.T.R.I.K.E.
The first season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. launched on Channel 4 last September.
