The show, co-created by Community‘s Dan Harmon, stars the voices of Danny Pudi and Hannah Einbinder. 

Apple TV+ have landed the trailer for their new adult animated series. Strange Planet is based on the bestselling graphic novel and webcomic of the same name.

They describe the show as “… a hilarious and perceptive look at a distant world not unlike our own. Set in a whimsical world of cotton candy pinks and purples, relatable blue beings explore the absurdity of everyday human traditions.”

The show’s voice cast includes Danny Pudi (Community), Hannah Einbinder (Hacks), Tunde Adebimpe, Demi Adejuyigbe, and Lori Tan Chinn.

Strange Planet is co-created and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty, Community) and Nathan W. Pyle, produced by Apple Studios and ShadowMachine. The series executive producers are Alex Bulkley (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio), Corey Campodonico for ShadowMachine (BoJack Horseman), Lauren Pomerantz, Amalia Levari, Steve Levy (Rick and Morty) and Taylor Alexy Pyle.

The series begins with a triple-episode drop on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Seven further episodes will land on subsequent Wednesdays.
