Sky have confirmed that their comedy thriller Sweetpea is coming back for a twisted second series. 

The show is led by rising star Ella Purnell (Fallout, Arcane) and based on C.J. Skuse’s darkly comic cult novel.

Sweetpea series 2 will see Rhiannon Lewis return with a vengeance as her killer secret continues to spiral, and she becomes more twisted than ever.

Executive producer and star Ella Purnell said:

With Fallout also scoring a second season, Purnell’s star is burning bright. She also has a role in the forthcoming killer squirrel comedy horror movie The Scurry too.

Sweetpea comes from See-Saw Films (Slow Horses) and fanboy, in association with Sky Studios.

Series 1 is available to watch on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK. In the US, it’s on STARZ.
