The news comes ahead of the season one finale on April 19th.
As The Ark concludes its first run, SYFY have confirmed that the deep space mystery thriller will continue for a second season.
From Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner, the series takes place 100 years into humanity’s future. On Ark One, a ship which contains humanity’s last hope for survival – disaster strikes! The remaining crew must band together to keep the ship functioning and complete the mission of establishing an interstellar colony for their dying world.
As the story progresses, the characters grapple with romantic entanglements, wicked betrayals and fatal diagnoses. Plus, some earth-shattering revelations about the wider Ark program too.
According to SYFY, The Ark‘s first 12 episodes have notched up an impressive 6.5 million views across all platforms.
In a joint statement, creators Devlin and Glassner said:
“We couldn’t be more excited to get back into space with the crew of the Ark. SYFY continues to be an amazing partner and home for this series.”

The season finale airs on Wednesday, April 19th on SYFY, with all episodes available to stream on Peacock.
