With season 4 of the hit comedy drama The Bear only out last week, makers FX have confirmed that season 5 is in the works.
In the fourth run, we saw restaurant’s plucky staff fighting to keep it financially afloat against a literal countdown clock. Naturally there are no plot details yet, and we’ll not be spoiling season 4, but there are matters to resolved.
FX Chairman John Landgraf confirmed the return with this statement:
“The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide and their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons. Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.”
In even better news, the timeline for season 5 is 2026. That’s impressive considering the profile the show has afforded its leads Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
Jeremy Allen White heads the new biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, while Edebiri plays alongside Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield and Chloë Sevigney in the thriller After The Hunt.
And Ebon Moss-Bachrach? Well, his future is looking fantastic, if a little Grimm…
We’ll keep you posted on The Bear season 5. The multi-Emmy award winning show airs on Hulu in the US, and Disney+ elsewhere.
