Channel 4’s latest drama series, The Bisexual will premiere next month and the channel has released some more information about what to expect as well as a trailer…
Co-written, directed by and starring The Miseducation of Cameron Post director Desiree Akhaven, The Bisexual “offers a raw, funny and unapologetic take on the “last taboo” – bisexuality – and the prejudices, shame and comic misconceptions that surround it,” according to Channel 4. “With Desiree’s trademark dry wit, the series takes a candid look at people’s approach to love and sex, and what the love and sex they’re drawn to reveals about them.”
It sees New Yorker Leila explore her bisexuality when she and her long-term girlfriend, Sadie (played by Black Mirror‘s Maxine Peake) decide to go on a break. She moves in with neurotic novelist Gabe and starts sleeping with men whilst grappling over how to come out to her best friends.
The series will officially premiere on Wednesday 10th October at 10pm and Digital Spy have an exclusive look at the trailer.
We’ll pass on any and all information on The Bisexual as and when we receive it.
