The Boys season 3 will star Katia Winters playing Russian crime boss Little Nina
We recently brought news of casting for the as yet unnamed The Boys spinoff series, and now we can follow up with more news, this time for The Boys season 3. Katia Winters will be played Nina Namenko. Winters is best known (so far) for playing Katrina Crane in Sleepy Hollow and Freydis Eriksdottir in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and currently play Gwen Karlsson in Blood & Treasure.
The character of Nina Namenko, aka Little Nina is (to put it mildly) interesting. Thanks to ComicBook.com we now know (and we’ve edited) Little Nina has problems trusting men, is ruthless and has some lewd (even by The Boys standard) sexual proclivities and at least one notable encounter with Butcher.
As to what of the comics makes its way to the TV series, it should be noted Little Nina has her own variant of Compound V. Unfortunately (for those who use it), there are side-effects. This (to us) seems an interesting connection to the emerging villain revealed at the end of season 2.
Katia Winter is the second new cast announcement for the season, the previous being Jensen Ackles, who plays the character of Soldier Boy. Inevitably the next season is delayed, almost certainly until well into 2022, but we’ll keep you posted on everything that’s announced
