With an interesting title and an even more interesting cast lineup, here’s what we know about The Cackling Of The Dodos:

Details about the upcoming project from Netflix have been released, with a cast list you’re bound to recognise and a premise that’ll make you wish the film was out already.

What’s The Cackling Of The Dodos about?

The story of the film will be based on a screenplay by novelist Rye Curtis (Kingdomtide). Set against the backdrop of rural farmland, our protagonist is (you guessed it) a farmer well-adapted to the certain way of life he has working in agriculture. His rhythm of life is interrupted when a dead body is discovered in the grain silo, his untrustworthy boss entangles them both in a cover-up that they’re both barely able to keep a lid on.

Who’s in it?

The cast for the production includes Fred Hechinger (Gladiator II), Sam Rockwell (The Bad Guys), Woody Harrelson (The Hunger Games), Michael McKean (Better Call Saul), Esther McGregor (Babygirl), Jenn Lyon (Claws), and Emy Coligado (Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair).

Who’s behind it?

The feature will be directed by Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), who will produce alongside Michael Costigan (The Rosie Project), Elise Konialian, Anna Schwartz (Champions), Jeremy Plager (Suncoast) and Mark Berger (Of Mice and Men).
