The latest news about the adaptation is music to apocalypse story lovers and sport lovers alike, fans of The Long Walk are likely to be rejoicing at the latest information released about the upcoming project.

What’s The End of The World Running Club about?

Based on the novel penned by author Adrian J. Walker (The Last Dog on Earth), the story takes place moments after an apocalyptic event against the backdrop of Britain. The feature film will follow the story of a man who is lucky enough to survive a catastrophic asteroid striking the Earth. The clock starts ticking as there’s a limited amount of evacuation ships leaving the shore of the UK in order to find safer lands further away from the impact. There’s just one issue, our protagonist is 500 miles away from the evacuation point – and his family. Taking on part of the advice given by The Proclaimers, he realises the race is on as he begins running to his last chance of survival.

Who’s behind it?

Walker is an executive producer on the project, which will be written and directed by Chris Reading (Time Travel Is Dangerous).
