The King’s Man gets a new poster and trailer
If you’ve not been paying attention, here’s the basic plot and casting for this new 20th Century Studios production:
As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King’s Man…
The film stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson and Daniel Brühl, with Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance. It’s directed by Matthew Vaughn. Mark Millar, Dave Gibbons, Stephen Marks, Claudia Vaughn and Ralph Fiennes serve as executive producers, and it’s based on the Millar and Gibbons comic book The Secret Service. Note this falls outside the scope of the many projects Millar has underway with Netflix.
The story is by Matthew Vaughn, and the screenplay is by Matthew Vaughn & Karl Gajdusek. The poster is rather splendid:
You can see the trailer now, and the film is in cinemas from December 22 — this is a US date, but we see no reason why it won’t also apply to the UK. There is no sign of this also being released to Disney+, unlike other recent films.
