Good news for fans — The Orville season 4 has been written. There’s less good news as well
Almost four years since season 3 aired, Seth MacFarlane has confirmed season 4 has been written. But there’s a problem…
What’s the story with The Orville season 4
The Hollywood Reporter has an interview with MacFarlane, in which he says:
“I will be honest with you: Season four is written.”
Sadly, he continues:
“It’s just a question of when we have the time to produce it.”
Clearly, MacFarlane is busy, but at least saying when and not if. The article then says the prolific producer confirmed that Hulu would be ready to move forward on the new season, but his own packed schedule has made it challenging to find time for him to shoot.
“The 10 scripts are done. I’m the problem. It’s [a matter of] when I can make that my year, with all the other stuff we have in the works. But we can hit the ground running when it happens.”
This means no idea on filming, cast, plots or anything else. There have been many rumours and some of the cast have suggested they won’t be back — we’re referring to Adrianne Palicki (Commander Kelly Grayson). Of course things can change. We’d like to hope for more news in a few months time — we’ll keep you posted.
