A brand new project is coming from Netflix, with a glamorous cast list in tow – here’s what we know about The Roman so far:

Netflix’s latest drama series promises to take us to the glamour and tension of the high-stakes world right in the hear of Vegas. More details have recently been announced, including who we can expect to see at the roulette table.

What’s The Roman about?

The eight-part story will depict a contemporary, but still treacherous Vegas, following the story of a casino owner. Seasoned and revered, he owns the most popular hotel casino around. His dreams to expand his empire comes with consequences, and there’s still lessons to be learned by the man who already thinks he knows it all.

Who’s in it?

The cast includes Oscar Isaac (BEEF), Betty Gilpin (Death by Lightning), Alec Baldwin (30Rock), David Costabile (Breaking Bad), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Dune: Prophecy), Jimmy O. Yang (Finally Home).

Who’s behind it?

Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber) take on the role of creators, show-runners and executive producers. They’ll executive produce alongside Martin Scorsese (Goodfellas) and J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year) will direct the first two episodes of the series.

When’s it out?

There’s no release date set for the project as of yet as it’s just entering production.
