First look images are now available for The Tourist starring Jamie Dornan

Created and written by writers Harry and Jack Williams (Baptiste, The Missing, Liar), The Tourist is a six-part thriller with no release date yet set. We do have a detailed synopsis:

Jamie Dornan stars as a British man who finds himself in the glowing red heart of the Australian outback, being pursued by a vast tank truck trying to drive him off the road. An epic cat and mouse chase unfolds and the man later wakes in hospital, hurt, but somehow alive. Except he has no idea who he is. With merciless figures from his past pursuing him, The Man’s search for answers propels him through the vast and unforgiving outback.

Our immediate thought was it had shades of Duel, the Stephen Spielberg’s first film (and highly recommended if you’ve not seen it). The Tourist also stars Danielle Macdonald (Unbelievable, Dumplin’, Patti Cakes), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Line of Duty, Roadkill), Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (Trapped, The Missing) and Alex Dimitriades (The End, The Cry). Damon Herriman (Mindhunter, Justified) has also joined the series playing Lachlan Rogers, replacing Hugo Weaving who departed the production due to scheduling issues.
