Trailer and release date revealed for Citadel season 2

The star-filled cast expands and the plot thickens as the air date for the second season of Citadel draws closer, here’s everything we know about it so far:

Citadel‘s first season welcomed its audience into a world packed with familiar celebrity faces, espionage, tension and action. With the second season coming up for the Russo Brothers’ (Stranger Things) series outside of their longstanding collaboration with Netflix, which came to an end when the finale of Stranger Things came out. We’re on the edge of diving into the new season, and just before every episode becomes available, the release date has been announced alongside a trailer to whet the appetites of Citadel fans.

What’s it about?

The story for season two decides to continue following our original trio of spies, three elite operatives from a prolific agency. This agency has since been obliterated by Manticore, a syndicate which relies on a heartless network of agents, the funding and support from the world’s most powerful families helps to keep this antagonistic force alive. A brand new threat arises, seemingly out of nowhere, and the three operatives find themselves being pulled back into the field. In order to fill the gaps created by Manticore’s sabotage, they recruit a team of new spies to help them kick ass across the world in order to save it.

Who’s in it?

The confirmed cast includes Richard Madden (Bodyguard), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (The Bluff), Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada), Jack Reynor (Midsommar), Matt Berry (The IT Crowd), Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread), Ashleigh Cummings (Long Bright River), Lina El Arabi (Furies), Merle Dandridge (The Last of Us), Gabriel Leone (Senna) and Rayna Vallandingham (Street Fighter).

When’s it out?

It’s been confirmed that the new season will be on Prime Video May 6th.
