ITV has released the first trailer for Chasing Shadows, a new crime drama featuring Doctor Who stars Alex Kingston and Noel Clarke alongside The League of Gentlemen‘s Reece Shearsmith.

Created and written by Rob Williams (DCI Banks, Holby City), the four-part series will focus on the work of a missing persons field unit charged with tracking down serial killers who prey on impressionable and vulnerable people.

Reece Shearsmith will play DS Sean Stone and Alex Kingston will play his partner, Ruth Hattersley. Noel Clarke (Star Trek Into Darkness) will play DI Prior.

Kingston has played River Song in Doctor Who since 2008, while Clarke played companion Mickey Smith between 2005-2010. Shearsmith appeared as Patrick Troughton in BBC Two’s Doctor Who drama An Adventure in Space and Time last year.
