Netflix has released a teaser trailer for new German series Tribes of Europa

Tribes of Europa is a German dystopia / post-apocalyptic tale, due on Netflix from February 19 2021. It’s part of a batch of titles announced in the wake of Dark, and season 1 consists of six episodes.

The show follows three siblings in the year 2074 who fight to survive in an apocalyptic Europe that has been fractured into countless micro-states after a mysterious global catastrophe. Tribes fight for dominance over the continent. Created by Philip Koch, who is set to direct, it is written by Koch, Jana Burbach and Benjamin Seiler. The siblings are from the peaceful Origine tribe — Kiano (Emilio Sakraya – Warrior Nun), Liv (Henriette Confurius) and Elja (David Ali Rashed) — are separated and forced to forge their own paths in an action-packed fight for the future of this new Europa. The cast also includes Oliver Masucci (Dark) as Moses, Kendrick Ong (Snowpiercer) as Grimm and Ana Ularu (Alex Rider) as Grieta.

The show looks to blend the tribalism of Mad Max 2 with future tech and several Romanesque settings, including an arena fight scene. Another show for our ever increasing list!
