Us: trailer and air date for new BBC drama

David Nicholls adapted his own bestselling book for the new series…

The Beeb has released a first trailer for its upcoming adaptation of Us. The new four-part drama series has been created for television by David Nicholls from his celebrated novel of the same name.

In Us, Douglas Petersen (Tom Hollander) is blindsided when his wife Connie (Saskia Reeves) tells him that she’s not sure she wants to be married to him anymore. Agreeing to still go on their planned Grand Tour of Europe as a family, Douglas vows to win back the love of his wife and repair his troubled relationship with their son Albie.

Along with Hollander and Reeves, Us stars Iain De Caestecker (Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D, The Fades), Sofie Gråbøl (The Killing, Fortitude), Tom Taylor (Doctor Foster, The Dark Tower) and Thaddea Graham (Curfew, The Letter for the King).

The series will get underway on Sunday September 20th at 9pm on BBC One.
