Wallace and Gromit – first teaser trailer for ‘Vengeance Most Fowl’

Posted Filed under

The BBC have released the first trailer for the latest Wallace & Gromit adventure which arrives this Christmas.

Vengeance Most Fowl sees the return of the villainous Feathers McGraw. The dastardly penguin was previously outwitted by Wallace and his trusty pal Gromit in Aardman’s 1993 classic short film The Wrong Trousers.

Here’s what we know about Vengeance Most Fowl:

After a recent crime wave of stolen garden goods from across the region, Wallace and his pre-programmed smart gnome, Norbot, are the main suspects. While Wallace proclaims his innocence, it’s up to Gromit once again to battle sinister forces, or Wallace will never invent again!

But who could possibly be behind such evil actions?! Rightfully behind bars for all this time, Feathers McGraw is back with vengeance.

The film deploys the vocal talents of Ben Whitehead as Wallace, the eccentric, cheese-loving inventor who lives with his best friend and loyal pooch, Gromit. Peter Kay returns as Chief Inspector Macintosh alongside Lauren Patel (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie). Plus, Reece Shearsmith (Inside No.9) voices Norbot.

The film also includes cameos from Diane Morgan (Motherland), Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton), Muzz Khan (Brassic) and Lenny Henry (Three Little Birds). Details of their roles are set to be revealed soon.

Wallace and Gromit Vengeance Most Fowl is directed by Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham, with the story written by Nick Park and Mark Burton.

Gnome Noir

While the 79-minute “gnome noir” adventure remains unplaced in the BBC schedule, we’d bet on a prestigious Christmas Day slot.

However, we do know that the film lands internationally at Netflix in early January 2023. The streamer is already promoting the film with a January 3rd drop date.
