The upcoming horror epic from legend Robert Eggers has been building up hype for its upcoming release, here’s the latest we have on Werwulf:

Coming through the wake of previous projects such as The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman and Nosferatu, the new horror from Eggers is coming in strong with the latest news boasting an all-star cast and an a hair-raising trailer.

What’s Werwulf about?

Written alongside Eggers’ long-time collaborator, Sjón, this project will also have a historical tinge to it. Drawing on the original legend and throwing us all back into the damp and dingy world of the dark ages, the story will touch upon themes of devotion, damnation and a seemingly unshakeable curse.

The film will star Bodhi Rae Breathnach (Hamnet), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Ralph Ineson (The Green Knight), Lily-Rose Depp (Nosferatu), Kate Dickie (Dept. Q), Valeriia Karaman (Egregor), Jack Morris (Tornado), Maisie Greenwood (Eastenders), Ritchie Edwards (Jitters), Vidal Arzoni (Reformed), Nicky Paul and Hannah Harpin.

When’s it out?
