No, it’s not The Wicker Man, but it does involve a wicker man. Here’s the latest information we have on the upcoming film:

Raunchy, eccentric and littered with acting superstars, there’s a lot to look forward to with the upcoming feature dropping more information about what we can expect to see. The newest release about the movie comes with a titillating trailer showcasing an intriguing premise, a band of engaging characters and plenty of chaos.

What’s it about?

Our protagonist is a rough-and-ready fisherwoman at the heart of a peasant-filled settlement, mocked for how un-marriable she is and forced to put on a demeanour of not caring about the constant attacks from those around her. She decides to seek the help of a local man with a special talent, someone who can weave her a husband out of wicker. Her magical man is spellbound to her as a husband and appears to know nothing much beyond his call of duty. His reputation as a rather formidable lover makes its way to the village folk and beings to tip things out of balance. Women become more demanding of their own husbands and husbands become more resentful of the wicker husband.

The film is laden with recognisable names including Olivia Colman (Wicked Little Letters), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Alexander Skarsgård (The Northman), Dev Patel (The Green Knight), Richard E Grant (Saltburn), Nabhaan Rizwan (Film Club), Marli Siu (Our Ladies), Elizabeth Debicki (Tenet) and Kiell Smith-Bynoe (Ghosts).
