It’s never too early in the year to get a little bit spooky, there’s new images and information out about the upcoming Yaga:

Getting ready for halloween, there’s been some new images coming out from the production which re-imagines the Slavic folk tale as a thriller series. The latest release also gives more information on the adaptation and the people who will be bringing it to life in the brand new series.

What’s Yaga about?

The iconic witch who lives in a house with chicken legs (so technically a mobile home) has been adapted to screen with this new production. Giving the legend a new flavour, the story has now been injected with the mystery and tension of a whodunnit. A private investigator arrives at a small and unassuming coastal town in order to crack open a case of an heir to a fishing empire who has suddenly vanished. He clashes and co-operates with a local detective as they both try and delve into the secrets shrouding the disappearance. They interact with locals and outcasts, but it’s hard to tell where the truth really lies.

The series stars Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek), Clark Backo (The Changeling), Hudson Williams (Heated Rivalry), Sheila McCarthy (Women Talking), Megan Follows (Reign), Ezra Franky (Untamed), Patrick Gilmore (Sinbad), Katharine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps), Hiro Kanagawa (Grave Halloween) and Emilija Baranac (Fakes).
