The second season of HBO’s fantasy saga Game of Thrones begins in the UK tomorrow night on Sky Atlantic.
Airing at 9pm on Mondays, the new ten-part season will be shown less than 24 hours after it airs in the US.
To whet your appetite, here are ten teasing lines of dialogue from the first episode, The North Remembers…
» “Do you understand that we’re losing the war?”
» “Must be hard for you… to be the disappointing child.”
» “Stars don’t fall for men. That comet means one thing… Dragons.”
» “These are bad times to be living alone in the wild.”
» “You want to lead one day? Well, learn how to follow!”
» “Joffrey, Renly, Rob Stark, they’re all thieves. They’ll bend the knee or I’ll destroy them.”
» “The night is dark and full of terrors… but the fire burns them all away.”
» “You’ve been defeated by a boy. You’re being held captive by a boy. Perhaps you’ll be killed by a boy.”
» “They’re all liars. Good liars, bad liars, and one or two great liars.”
» “These are my terms. If the queen regent and her son meet them, I’ll give them peace. If not, I will litter the south with Lannister dead.”
