Season 2 of HBO’s fantasy saga Game of Thrones continues in the UK next week on Sky Atlantic with the sixth episode, The Old Gods and the New.

As the season enters its second half, the tension builds as the titanic struggle between the Starks, Targaryens, Lannisters and the Baratheon brothers comes close to reaching a head. Steel continues to clash with steel as the five monarchs of Westeros battle for power, prominence and the Iron Throne, while Arya receives a surprise visitor and Joffrey faces his subjects.

Airing at 9pm on Mondays, the new ten-part season will be shown less than 24 hours after it airs in the US.
