The X-Files was a pretty integral part of my school days. Watching the episode was just as important as talking about it the next day. An incredibly unique piece of television, there has really been nothing quite like it, although you can certainly see its influence in many modern cult procedural shows like Supernatural and Fringe.

Ten years since The X-Files ended, we’re starting to think that a third movie, showing the events of the colonisation and Mulder and Scully’s heroic fight against the odds, isn’t going to materialise after all.
