The final series of Misfits continues and, as the first anniversary of the storm approaches, Rudy’s alter ego and Abby arrange a celebratory party at the community centre.
When Misfits ends two weeks from now, we’ll all likely have to go sit in a quiet room with a joke book, a rubber chicken, and a Morecambe & Wise VHS, in order to recalibrate our sense of humour. Because over the past five years Misfits has been dragging our idea of what’s funny steadily off course – like a magnet fucking a compass – to the point where taste and decency have fallen off the map.
The final series of Misfits continues and, as part of their community service, the gang have to look after a group of terminally ill patients.
The Internet. The Ol’ Googlebox. The Pornographer’s Lantern. Whatever you call it, we can agree that it is generally pretty neat. It even allowed you to watch this week’s Misfits earlier than usual on 4OD, and that’s no bad thing.
The final series of Misfits continues on E4 this week and Rudy takes Finn to the superpower support group to help him get over Jess.
E4 has released a new one-minute trailer for the final few episodes of Misfits.
It tends to happen once every series. Amid the crudity Misfits will produce an episode that manages to touch you right there.
It’s only when Misfits flies from our screens in – ooh, whoa, just 5 weeks’ time – that we’ll fully understand the unique position it built itself out of concrete and profanity and the colour orange.
Misfits never turns out a bad episode when it puts Joe Gilgun’s living embodiment of a Freudian slip, Rudy, at the centre of events. Not just because it gives a writer two characters for the price of one to play with, or because Rudy is now the most fully-fledged character on the show, but because Gilgun manages to convincingly sell whatever he’s doing. Even if that’s just eating mustard.
