The BBC has announced that Geordie sitcom Hebburn will return for its new series next month.
BBC Two has recommissioned Geordie sitcom Hebburn for a second series.
BBC One’s new six-part drama Last Tango in Halifax made an excellent start on Tuesday with 6.2m viewers and a 25.6% share of the audience.
Russell T. Davies’ new childrens’ show Wizards and Aliens launched this week on CBBC with 474k (3%) viewers.
The BBC once again thrashed ITV in the 9pm Monday night drama slot as New Tricks showed no sign of slacking with 7.4m (30.4%) viewers.
Much like the North-East, Hebburn is a bit rough round the edges, but full of the heart and local laughter that’ll keep you coming back for more.
BBC Two has commissioned a full series of single-camera comedy series Hebburn, written by stand-up comedian Jason Cook, following a pilot last year.
