ITV1 have released a full-length trailer for the second series of Julian Fellowes’ hit drama Downton Abbey, which begins next weekend.
Never have I had more of a sense of ‘born in the wrong time’ than I have when stood in the frankly majestic halls of Highclere Castle, better known as Downton Abbey.
After the tumultuous events of Series 6’s opening two-parter comes the more traditional “onesy” – and an historical episode at that! Pirates are the order of the day for Team TARDIS as they find themselves aboard a doomed ship…

After a so-so second episode, the latest “mockumentary” from the BBC delivers another fine blend of sitcom antics, character studies and catchphrases. Oh, and the “reality” of the 2012 London Olympic Games.
After an opening episode that some felt was disappointing, given the quality of the writer and cast, it’s a relief to announce that the second instalment of Twenty Twelve is very much up to the high comic standard of John Morton’s previous work.
