The show will return to the network for a shorter-than-usual run of 13 episodes, reports TV Line.

30 Rock has also been renewed by NBC for an abbreviated seventh and final season, while there is no news yet on The Office, Parks & Recreation and Up All Night.

Meanwhile, Fox has renewed animated comedy series Family Guy and American Dad for an eleventh season and for an eighth season respectively. Deadline reports that both orders are for 22 epsiodes each. However, The Cleveland Show has not yet been picked up for a fifth season, although a fourth is already in production.

Season 2 of Community is currently airing in the UK on Sony Entertainment Television at 10.30pm on Tuesday nights.

Speaking exclusively to CultBox last month about who he’d like to guest star on the show, star Joel McHale commented: “I would love to work with Bill Murray. Also the cast of Twilight, the cast of The Hunger Games… the cast of Red Dwarf too.”
