Who Do You Think You Are? returns to BBC One this summer, with Sherlock writer/actor Mark Gatiss amongst the line-up.
The genealogy show’s 12th season will also see Last Tango In Halifax stars Sir Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid delving in to their family trees, alongside Great British Bake off presenter Paul Hollywood, modelling legend Jerry Hall, Live and Let Die actress Jane Seymour, choirmaster Gareth Malone, Vicious star Frances de la Tour, news reporter Frank Gardner and television presenter Anita Rani.
Derek Jacobi’s story goes from humble roots in Walthamstow to the court of Louis XIV of France, featuring an unlikely connection to royalty on this side of the Channel.
Last Tango in Halifax returns to BBC One for a fourth season later this year.
Executive producer Colette Flight commented: “Who Do You Think You Are? is back with another fantastic line-up of much-loved faces, uncovering hidden history by bringing our celebrities’ ancestors to life. Following our best-known stars on their personal journey into their family trees reveals extraordinary stories, sometimes tragic, sometimes funny, but always compelling.”
