ITV has made the decision to suddenly delay its four-part drama based around the Hatton Garden jewellery theft, it’s been revealed. The series – entitled Hatton Garden – was due to be transmitted next month, but the channel has pulled it from its schedules, and instead it’ll go out at some point in 2018. No new date for the series has been announced, though. Nor has the reason for the delay.
In its place is a thriller called Bancroft, that ITV has moved up to run on four consecutive nights in December. Bancroft had originally been set to be transmitted on ITV Encore.
Hatton Garden is headlined by Timothy Spall, and appears to be finished. Maybe we’ll get clues for the delay when it finally arrives on our screens in 2018.
