Based on Washington Irving’s 1820 tale of a headless horseman and Ichabod Crane, the man trying to stop his murderous ways, the first episode of Season 1 airs at 9pm on Wednesday 9 October on Universal Channel.

Irving’s enigmatic hero, Ichabod, is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time in a modern-day retelling of the classic story. Discovering that he is humanity’s last hope in a world on the brink of destruction, he teams up with Detective Abbie Mills, a young cop who had a supernatural encounter as a child. Ichabod and Abbie form an unlikely bond and embark on a quest to unravel a mystery in which everything they believe to be true is tested to the extreme.
