The ramifications of the Doctor’s decision to render Ashildr “functionally immortal” at the conclusion of ‘The Girl Who Died’ came home to roost in ‘The Woman Who Lived’.

While the 17th Century does not appear to be a regular stomping ground for the Doctor, he has enjoyed a few similar encounters you might like to look up…

‘Survival’ (1989)

Doctor Who Survival

If you enjoyed Leandro, the fire breathing Delta Leonian, you should check out the Seventh Doctor and Ace in their encounter with Cheetah people.

In ‘Survival’, the final story in the show’s original run, the Master was stranded on the planet of these giant cats and directed them to Earth as a hunting ground – where they chased down Ace’s friends and other Perivale residents on horseback.

‘New Earth’ (2006) & ‘Gridlock’ (2007)

Of course, the other place to find Cat People is on New Earth, where an order of Catkind nuns called the Sisters of Plenitude staffed the hospital, including Novice Hame and the fearsome Sister Jatt.

After putting paid to their unappealing methods of medical research, he returned to the planet some years later for a final encounter with The Face of Boe, finding a reformed Hame as his personal nurse.

He also met the charming Thomas Kincade Brannigan (Father Ted’s Ardal O’Hanlon) and his human wife Valerie who were passengers on the Motorway.
