Movies have always been around to give us inspiration and entertainment of the possibilities to come from life. We all either resonate to the storyline, character or theme of the movie, and well, sports betting and gambling always gets the adrenaline going, doesn’t it? The sports industry is continuously growing, with more winners to come out of it, meaning more films and stories to tell.

Many people watch sports betting movies and it motivates them to get into the industry for themselves. However, a lot of these movies are dated, and that’s why you never really see them placing bets over the internet, or on mobile apps at some of the newest sports betting sites. Today’s sports betting community is majorly a mobile betting powered system, and movies often blur that factor out of the movie scenes completely.

Below we have listed some of the movies that are the best in the sports betting industry. You will find that these titles are ones that you should definitely include within your watch list, so make sure that you do!

Two for the Money

We all know that any movie with Al Pacino is most certainly going to be a hit. Al Pacino got his reputation for movies when he starred within the Godfather series. This movie however is not as mafia as his previous role, and it also stars Matthew McConaughey. The story is based on a true event, where a college boy had become a sports handicapper from a football career.

The football player Brandon Lang, is the star player of his team, having recently come into the tem from telemarketing. When the character name Walter Abrams comes into the picture and takes his role from his as the footballer, Lang turns towards sports betting, as a handicapper for the industry. His luck that is explored is certainly one with passion, but the movie takes you through the thought process specifically, and the audience most definitely appreciates that, as the movie is not just evolved around the thought of money. Thus, adding more context and depth to the storyline as a whole, beyond the usual betting perspective.

Even Money

Even Money has some typical faces again, that we are used to in Hollywood and the movie scenes. The cast essentially makes the movie for what it is. If you are down with crime, drama and gambling all in one, definitely stop scrolling to the next movie. There is a broad reference to gambling addiction, so it can touch a nerve if you may know of someone who suffers with the issue of addiction.

Alongside the theme of addiction, basketball and the championship college games mould together with gambling. Bringing together sports and gambling addiction only equates to one unlikely end, but let us tell you, it is certainly worth the wait and for the final plot reveal. You will be counting down from your fingers, to look into who and how, and it is pretty unexpected. We will give you that.

Sure, this was not an Oscar winner, but it still had gritty drama that anyone will be into checking out for themselves.

The Gambler

There is probably a huge chance here that The Gambler is one that you may have watched or heard of for yourself. Released in 1974, it does go back quite a bit and dips into the essence of Hollywood, meaning yes, there is a great cast here too by the way. Beyond the cast however, we are introduced to the main character who happens to be a professor at college. Gambling has allowed him to no longer have control over his life, with the constant loan and debt that looms over him. Due to it being such a consistent occurrence within his life, his family and friends do not bail him out, or help him get out of trouble at all, and so, the story line continues.

The professor and gambler is into the highest of stake gambling meaning, it can get pretty intense, as a shark is wanting back the money that the gambler takes out to proceed forward with the gambling activities. Yet, the story does decide to take a huge turn beyond what the audience expects to happen, the gambler decides to pay up and actually come clean from his habits. So, while the movie builds up with suspense, it certainly gives you scenarios you would not expect. Oh, and the palpitations as you watch? Totally normal.
