Spring… A season where new flowers grow, lambs are born and great new American TV series hit our screens here in the UK!
Our friends across the pond have given us some amazing series in the past, such as Game of Thrones, Grey’s Anatomy, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead just to name a few. We have much to look forward to as they continue to produce some of the best shows in the world.
We take a look at the upcoming air dates for American shows arriving in the UK for the first time, this spring. This means you can start watching along with everyone else from season one, giving you something to talk about at work.
Pose
The highly rated series Pose is a dance themed drama set in the late 1980s, which explores life and society in New York specifically that of the African-American and Latino ball culture world.
Pose follows Blanca, who creates a house that provides support to LGBTQ people, who have been rejected and outcast by their families. In the house the members challenge each other and compete in balls, where they are judged on their outfits, attitude or dance skills.
Pose UK air date and channel: Thursday 21st March on BBC Two. The series will also be available on BBC iPlayer after it is broadcast on BBC Two.
Project Blue Book
If you are a mystery sci-fi fan then this one is for you! Project Blue Book is a series based on the real-life “Project Blue Book”, which is a series of studies conducted by the United States Air Force regarding unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
The series follows college professor DR J. Allen Hynek, who teams up with Air Force Captain Michael Quinn to investigate sightings and try to solve them with science, however it seems not everything can be explained. Project Blue Book stars Aiden Gillen, who is most known as Petyr Baelish (Little Finger) from Game of Thrones.
Project Blue Book UK air date and channel: Wednesday 27th March on SyFy.
Hanna
Based on the film with the same name, Hanna follows an extraordinary young girl raised in a forest, who has to evade a ruthless off-book CIA agent trying to capture her. Through the pursuit she must unearth the truth of who she really is.
If you enjoyed the film, then this is a must-watch as the series is rated higher than the film.

Black Summer
Attention zombie fans! Black Summer is a new zombie apocalypse series that is a prequel to and is set in the same universe as Z Nation.
Taking on a less comical approach, Black Summer focuses on a mother called Rose who gets forcefully parted from her daughter and then thrust alongside a group of American refugees. With this new group of strangers she must make allies, fight off hordes of zombies and make brutal decisions, stopping at nothing to find her way back to her daughter.
Black Summer UK air date and channel: Thursday 11th April on Netflix.
No Good Nick
Starring Stranger Things and The Lord of the Rings’ Sean Astin, No Good Nick is a Netflix series following the life of 13-year-old grifter Nicole, who turns up on a family’s doorstep claiming to be a distant relative.
Nicole has a plan to get revenge on this family for them unknowingly ruining her life, however the more time she spends with them the more she likes them and can’t decide whether to go through with the plan.
No Good Nick UK air date and channel: Monday 15th April on Netflix.
Yellowstone
Does a western drama starring Kevin Costner sound good to you? Then make sure to take note of this one.
Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, who owns the largest ranch in the US, but live in a world of corruption, politics and conflict. This leaves their ranch under constant attack by those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation and America’s first national park.
Yellowstone UK air date and channel: This June on Paramount Network.
