However, UK fans are still waiting to hear how they can watch it.
Starring John Cena, Peacemaker will continue the story of his troubled character as first seen in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad movie. Peacemaker will explore current world issues thought the character as well as exploring his relationship with his father. It will also see him joining a new team.
As Gunn described him in an interview with Empire magazine, “Peacemaker has a clear set of ideals that I find really interesting… You know: ‘I want peace no matter how many men, women and children I need to kill to get it.’”
In addition to Cena, Peacemaker stars Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, Steve Agee as Economos and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.
James Gunn has written all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Peter Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with John Cena also a co-executive producer too. The show is produced by James Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Much of the world can enjoy the show now; the first three episodes drop together on either the 13th/14th of January and the rest are weekly after that. Unfortunately, UK fans are still in the dark as to where and when Peacemaker will air. With Sky’s ongoing relationship with HBO, we had expected the show to land there. At the moment, it appears that’s not the case.
Given the recent disappointment and subsequent fan outrage over Star Trek: Discovery, we had hoped these issues might become a thing of the past. Let’s hope it’s not too widely spoiled before we get the chance!
Hope
There is hope though! A recent twitter post from Gunn suggests UK fans, along with those in Germany and Italy, may hear something soon.

While we wait (and stew), HBO Max have dropped another clip from the show. It’sof a disconsolate Peacemaker, literally beating himself up about his actions in The Suicide Squad. We feel his pain!
Obviously, as soon as we hear anything, we’ll keep you posted.
