Judith Jamison was named by Alvin Ailey to be his successor and during the 21 years, she was in charge she had brought unprecedented success to the company. In 2011. Ms. Jamison then chose Robert Battle as her successor in 2011 and he has also injected new life into the company. This show continues to get rave reviews from spectators and the media alike.
