The pilot for the Buffy revival / reboot is still moving forward, and now we have more cast announcements
The rebooted Buffy the Vampire Slayer is moving along nicely, with more cast announced, on top of the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar and the casting of new lead slayer Ryan Keira Armstrong stars as the new slayer, an introverted high-school student named Nova. Now (thanks to Deadline) we learn of further casting. [In the press it’s various called a revival or reboot]
Further cast for the Buffy revival / reboot
The Deadline report tells us Merrin Dungey (The Lincoln Lawyer), Audrey Hsieh (Found) and Audrey Grace Marshall (The Flight Attendant) are joining the Hulu Pilot. They will be guest stars in the pilot, with the characters conceived as recurring if the series gets commissioned. Dungey will play Ms LaDuca, the college counselor at New Sunnydale Academy. Hsieh and Marshall play Keiko and Jessica, respectively, high school students and members of the academy’s Evangelical Christian group.
The article also reminds us we have series regulars Faly Rakotohavana, Ava Jean, Sarah Bock, Daniel Di Tomasso and Jack Cutmore-Scott as well as guest star/recurring Kingston Vernes. Chase Sui Wonders has a one-off guest-starring role in the pilot.
