Ocean’s Eleven
Most people never say that original and remakes are never as good at the originals, but that is hard to say about Ocean’s Eleven. Although a lot of people might not have seen the original 1960 version, they sure tuned in to this newer one. Regardless, both were major hits and starred some of the biggest names of their name. The old hosted Peter Lawrence, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Joey Bishop. The new one had names like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia, Bernie Mac, and Julia Roberts.
The story, while not so original, is still a good one. It is about a guy fresh out of prison that aims to make the biggest score of his life. He wants to pull off the biggest casino heist in years and sets out to put a team of experts together capable of the job.
Casino
It would have been interesting to see how much different things would have been if quality online casinos like judi online existed when this movie was made. Would the mafia still have been involved? Would they have had their finger in the pie? Regardless, this is one Martin Scorsese flick that you do not want to miss out on. It’s also got some big names like Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci, James Woods, and the prolific Robert De Nerio, but it’s the story that’s a real winner and attention-grabber here. It’s about a mob-owned casino run by a guy named Sam “Ace” Rothstein, who finds himself more and more in danger as time goes on thanks to his wife and a good friend. This one is also based on a true story, which even makes it all that more interesting.
Casino Royale
Who doesn’t loves a good Bond movie? Who does loves a good casino-based movie? Put the two together and you’ve got put cinematic gold. This one stars Daniel Craig as Bond who is on a mission in Madagascar when things go completely array, like Bond fashion. He is then followed to the Bahamas where he learns that one of the biggest terrorist organizations in the world plans on raising money for an attack via a high-stakes poker game. Things only get even more interesting from this point.
