We already know Dream, Death, Desire and Despair… now it’s time to meet their siblings.
After a long wait, Netflix have finally started to reveal some information about the season 2 of The Sandman.
It comes in the form of a video, unveiling three new members of the Endless. We’ve already met Dream (Tom Sturridge), Death (Kirby), Desire (Mason Alexander Park) and Despair (Donna Preston).
The new faces are Adrian Lester as Destiny, Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium and Barry Sloane as The Prodigal (aka Destruction).
While Adrian Lester is a familiar UK television face, recently starring as the villainous Earl of Poynton in Renegade Nell and most notably for his lead role in Hustle.
However, the other two are perhaps less well-known. Esmé Creed-Miles played the title role in Prime Video’s Hanna and started in the period thriller The Doll Factory for Paramount+. Meanwhile, Barry Sloane has appeared in numerous UK drama shows over the past twenty years, with recent roles in Passenger and Litvinenko.

Additionally, the returning cast members for The Sandman Season 2 include Patton Oswalt as the voice of Matthew the Raven, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Ferdinand Kingsley as Hob Gadling, Stephen Fry as Gilbert / Fiddler’s Green, Asim Chaudhry as Abel, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain, Vanesu Samunyai as Rose Walker, and Razane Jammal as Lyta Hall.
The Sandman comes from writers Neil Gaiman and showrunner Allan Heinberg, based on Gaiman’s acclaimed DC Comics series. The show is executive produced by David S. Goyer.
