Watch all your favourite Netflix films without restrictions

It seems that not a week goes by without more news coming of Netflix buying another expensive film for its hugely popular streaming service, or it commissioning one itself. Movies featuring the likes of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Kurt Russell and more are on the way, and due to be released in the coming years.

Most of the big Netflix films all are uploaded to the service and available wherever you are in the world. But that’s not always the case, with some films only available on the streaming system in certain parts of the world. Therefore, if you’re in the UK and want to watch films that are only available on Netflix US, for instance, then you’re very much out of luck.

Or maybe not. There is a legal way to access Netflix services in a country other than your own, and that’s through the use of a Netflix VPN.

VPN stands for virtual private network, and this is a way of using the world wide web without a site being able to determine where in the world you are. Therefore, you can be surfing and watching from the United Kingdom, but the service you’re using won’t know that. As such, you can legally sign up for an account with Netflix US, for instance, and you’ll be able to use it from wherever you are in the world.

As you might expect, as a consequence there’s a wealth of virtual private network options out there, and so it’s well worth shopping around to find the one that works best for you.

Once sorted though, then it’s a case of going off to explore what Netflix has to offer! It’s worth remembering too that it’s not just a case of exclusive productions that Netflix films itself, but also the catalogue of movies from other sources is different in each territory where the company operates. It’s definitely worth taking a look at a service such as JustWatch to get an idea of what’s on Netflix in different places. You’ll find you have access to far more than you might think!

Also, you don’t, at the time of writing, need a different subscription. If you’re a subscriber to Netflix in the UK and you’re accessing a version of the service in another country, then your account will still work. The difference will be that you’ll get a slightly different catalogue of options than you may be used to seeing. And then when you stop using a virtual private network, your Netflix catalogue will return to the version that you’re used to seeing.

It’s all a very useful way to get the most of your Netflix subscription, and give you access to all sorts of films and television shows that otherwise you may not be able to access. And all without changing the cost of your Netflix subscription by even a penny! No wonder more and more people are turning to VPNs to make the most out of Netflix – and it’s never been easier to do.
