The Amandaland Christmas special and the news of an Absolutely Fabulous reunions

The BBC has confirmed the Amandaland Christmas special — something only suspected when the show’s renewal was announced. Series 2 has also started filming.

Who is in the Amandaland Christmas special?

The core cast of Lucy Punch, Joanna Lumley and Philippa Dunne are confirmed, and the news is the episode welcomes the absolutely fabulous Jennifer Saunders who will play Aunt Joan, Felicity’s (Joanna Lumley) sister. Aunt Joan is a ball of country-living, enthusiastic upper-class bluster – very, very different from Felicity. This very special episode will be the first scripted on-screen reunion for Jennifer and Joanna since Absolutely Fabulous.
