Top chefs will battle it out to be the ‘one bite’ champion…
What’s the most apt TV idea for a new streaming service whose series have 7-minute-long episodes? Why, a very small cooking show, of course!
Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg is to host a new show for streamer Quibi, which launches in April, called Biggest Little Cook-Off. The series will challenge two top chefs to create “the most mouth-watering meals in a single bite of food” such as “spaghetti and meatballs on a plate the size of a dime” or “sushi on a single grain of rice”.
It sounds pretty bonkers, and that’s right up Samberg’s street.
“Anyone who knows me knows I love dinky stuff,” the comedian said in a statement. “So when this show about dinky food came my way I said, ‘I like the dinky food’. I’m excited to bring my expertise in dinky things to the dinky cooking arena, and I’m also excited to bring a bag lunch, because the food is so dinky I’m for sure going to still be hungry after the shows.”
It’s not clear if Biggest Little Cook-Off will be available on Quibi’s 6th April start date, but we’ll keep you updated.
