Archie Panjabi to play villain in Season Two of Doctor Who on Disney+ and BBC

According to Deadline, Archie Panjabi will play a villain alongside Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor in Season Two of Doctor Who on Disney+ and BBC One.

Disney and the BBC declined to comment to Deadline but both Doctor Who Season Two companion actresses, Millie Gibson and Varada Sethu, follow Panjabi on Instagram.

Panjabi is an Emmy Award and BAFTA winning British actress best known for her role as Kalinda Sharma in the 2009–2016 CBS television Series The Good Wife. Her film roles include Bend It Like Beckham, East Is East, A Mighty Heart and San Andreas.

Doctor Who Season Two is expected to transmit on Disney+ and BBC One some time in 2025. The Doctor Who Christmas special, Joy to the World, is expected to transmit on Christmas Day 2024.
