It’s out with the old and in with the new for the next Arrow-verse crossover, as the annual event will welcome the recently announced Batwoman to the fold but leave the Legends of Tomorrow gang to their own adventures.
So that leaves the current line-up as Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl, but no Black Lightning or Legends. It’s possible that this change is because of a planned story arc on the latter show that would not allow them to meet up with their friends in the present, or it could be a bid to save money – last year’s four-parter can’t have been cheap.
Still, now that we know Constantine is going to be a fixture, we can’t help but wonder what might have been.
There’s another small shift – the crossover will occur in the ninth episodes of each show, rather than the eighth as has been tradition. Does this mean the introduction of Kate Kane will hijack the mid-season finales, or has the episode order also changed?
All will soon become clear we’re sure, but for now let’s enjoy this newly revealed Supergirl season four poster from San Diego Comic-Con.
