Star Trek fans keen to see the classic crew of the Enterprise together will be pleased to hear Bones and Sulu are on their way
While we have only just had season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, we know season 4 is coming next year and season 5 will see the show end. Across the episodes so far, various members of the original crew have featured, now we finally have (thanks to Deadline) cast details for Bones and Sulu.
Who plays Bones and Sulu
From the article linked, Thomas Jane portrays Leonard “Bones” McCoy, played by DeForest Kelley in the original series, and rising actor Kai Murakami plays Hikaru Sulu, portrayed by George Takei originally. As yet there’s no detail from the official Star Trek site, but Deadline reports they are only arriving in the series finale, so 2027 is the expectation. Season 5 has finished filming and is understood to be only six episodes.
Fans of the show were presented with a mixed (and interesting) crew from season 1 of Strange New Worlds. We met Spock and Pike in Discovery season 2, and Strange New Worlds immediately gave us both Nurse Chapel and Uhura. James T Kirk has appeared in several episodes, and season 2 ended with the arrival of Scotty.
Seasons 1-3 are available on Paramount+ and season 4 stars Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun and Martin Quinn, along with guest star Carol Kane and special guest star Paul Wesley. With a likely summer release, it will be a while before we get much publicity. When we do, we’ll bring it to you as soon as we ca.
