It’s nearly the weekend, let’s enjoy Dead Ringers‘ Jon Culshaw in an affectionate send-up of ‘The Day of the Doctor’s Great Curator scene, shall we?
Among the many fan-pleasing moments of Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary celebrations was the ‘Day of the Doctor’ scene that saw Matt Smith’s 11th incarnation of the Timelord come across the ‘Curator’, a later incarnation of himself, carrying one of his former faces.
That face, and voice, was – of course – that of the unmistakable Tom Baker.
In this affectionate short, Dead Ringers‘ Jon Culshaw and impersonator/actor Jake Dudman break out their impeccable impressions of the pair to recreate the famous scene, before closing their faithful take with an additional interjection from Doctors no. 3 and no. 10 – John Pertwee and David Tennant.
The video has now racked up 200,000 views on YouTube, but we reckon it deserves a lot more – so here it is for your geeky pleasure. Enjoy.
Hopefully we can see the pair team up for more videos like this… But Who knows, eh? Who nose?
