BBC One’s latest successful drama, Come Home, came to a close last night. The three part series starred Christopher Eccleston and Paula Malcolmson, and had followed a separated couple and ultimately the custody of their children.
Danny Brocklehurst penned the drama, and in spite of the acclaim it’s received, he’s utterly resistant to a second series of the show. Chatting to the Radio Times, he said that “I think we have tied up all those loose ends. It comes to a complete place which I am very satisfied by. You feel something at the end”.
“In a world where so many shows leave their endings hanging, that feels completely satisfying”.
He also confirmed that his next project, Safe, also has a complete story with a definite ending. That’s heading to Netflix soon.
